HighFly gives the rider experience to anyone who wants it. We’re a bunch of shredheads with diverse styles and tastes, so we created our own style to cater to everyone who shares our philosophy. We want to support the underground!

We’re based in Minnesota where the winter makes for some kick ass snow and summers support the endless skateboarding. Our crew knows more than a little about snowboarding, and skateboarding and we’re more than stoked to gab for hours about it.

All About the Creators of HighFly Skateboarding Clothing and Snowboard Clothing

Dennis Nelson Owner/Designer

Dennis Nelson, Owner and Designer One night, Dennis was sitting in his bedroom on facebook and saw that his friend Devon was online. They hadn’t spoken in awhile and they talked about doing some designs. Devon and Dennis decided that night they should start their own skateboard clothing and snowboard clothing line and Dennis came up with the name HighFly. Dennis and Devon worked on some basic designs and tried to lay the foundation for the company. During this time, Christie, a new partner was brought in. Dennis did his first run of 30 shirts and from there, HighFly truly began. Dennis and Christie started working around the clock on the business and ended up taking the designs in a whole new direction. Devon wasn’t exactly feeling the vibe and decided to branch off on his own; however, they still showed their support and wished him the best of luck.

With Devon now gone, Dennis and Christie revamped HighFly and kept the name, but gave it a new look. With that, it took a course all its own. Dennis was born and raised in St. Paul Minnesota and works and goes to school when he’s not building his empire. He loves skateboarding with friends (usually down at Front Skate Park), playing some XBOX, and ghetto cruising with his boy Ryan “Q” Quirk on the weekends.

Christie Benson, A.K.A. "Bean", Owner/Business Ops

As they say, there is always someone in the background, and usually the one with their head in the practical stuff. If there is one thing that can be said with clarity, she saw Denny's vision and is a driving force behind taking HighFly to a new level. There is always someone that might know the organization, paperwork, business, and fundamental boring stuff a little better, but like any team, everyone has their own set of talents. She believed in Dennis's work and the vision of HighFly from the first day and will be right behind him to watch it soar.

So... this crazy cat shows up one day and wants to be part of the team. I gotta admit, we were a little twigged out. He looked pretty mean, a little freakish and we weren't sure he was going to fit in. But.... as it turns out he was the perfect addition.

Ice works on back end stuff with Christie and helps with picking new members of the team.
